Fitness Reimbursement Benefit
During 2012 if you are enrolled in a health plan through the University for at least 4 months, the Fitness Reimbursement Benefit can save you and one other eligible family member up to $150 per calendar year in health club membership fees. (A $300 family maximum applies to members ages 18 and over.) You can claim your Fitness Reimbursement Benefit after you have belonged to your health club for at least 4 months in a calendar year.
Effective January 1, 2013, the Fitness Reimbursement benefit will be expanded to include studio and health-club-based exercise programs such as aerobics, cycling, yoga, Pilates, etc. You can claim your Fitness Reimbursement Benefit for 2013 after you: (1) belong to your health club for at least 4 months in a calendar year or (2) participate in at least 12 weeks of an exercise program(s) in a calendar year or (3) attend a minimum of 24 exercise classes in a calendar year.
Weight Watchers Reimbursement Benefit
If you are enrolled in a health plan through the University, your health plan will reimburse you and one other eligible family member up to $150 per calendar year for Weight Watchers program fees. (A $300 family maximum applies to members age 13 and above.) Qualifying weight management programs include traditional Weight Watchers meetings; Weight Watchers at Work programs; and hospital-based weight loss programs. Online and at-home programs do not qualify for the reimbursement benefit.
