The University offers two retirement plans:
The 401(a) Basic Retirement Plan provides employees with contributions made solely by the University, and the 403(b) Voluntary Retirement Plan provides for contributions by employees. Each Plan gives participants an opportunity to direct the investment of contributions among investment funds selected by the Retirement Investment Advisory Committee (RIAC).
401(a) Basic Retirement Plan: The University contributes to the 401(a) Basic Retirement Plan to help eligible employees build substantial savings for their retirement years.
403(b) Voluntary Retirement Plan: To supplement the 401(a) savings, employees can also enroll in the 403(b) Voluntary Retirement Plan to defer their own contributions up to the IRS annual limit.
