Diversity contributes to performance, as well as to the university’s culture and climate in the way people interact with each other. As a university, we need to ensure that the hiring process represents that value. The Awareness of Implicit Bias in the Selection Process workshop addresses how implicit bias may influence hiring and selection at each of the stages in Tufts’ hiring process, and offers strategies to address it.
